Success Stories from the Field

Empowering Women Farmers in Sangrah (Phase VI)

Through Mahila Mandal Bhawan trainings, more than half of the participants were women who adopted drip irrigation and organic inputs after hands-on demonstrations. Their success inspired other panchayats to organize peer-learning circles led entirely by women.

Climate-Smart Techniques Bring Hope to Paonta Sahib (Phase IV)

A group of marginal farmers in Paonta Sahib learned to install low-cost micro-irrigation and crop-diversification methods during Phase IV. Within one season, they cut irrigation time by 40% and revived vegetable yields previously lost to water scarcity.

Youth Innovation for Climate Resilience (Phase III)

Young trainees used simulation games and live case studies to identify local drought risks. They later formed small 'Climate Clubs' that now promote bio-fertilizers and rain-harvesting among peer farmers, bridging generations through digital learning.

Reviving Traditional Knowledge with Modern Science (Phase II)

During experiential sessions, elders demonstrated centuries-old seed-preservation methods while experts showed scientific improvements. This collaboration built trust and encouraged hybrid approaches that protect both heritage and sustainability.

Building Resilience from the Ground Up (Phase I)

The first phase of training brought together 30,000 farmers across Sirmour District to learn about climate-resilient agriculture. One participant, Sh. Raj Kumar of Lana Pallar, reported that adopting composting and mixed-cropping improved both soil health and income in less than a year.
